1) Potential Results
a) Watch this quick, case study video to highlight the typical results expected after having a mobile website installed:
b) Enter all the keywords your potential customers would type into Google to find you by using the Google AdWords keyword tool, and see how many people are looking for you each month.
Think of these highly interested people a month as a rushing river. Every month xxxx people who want to find out about your business are rushing by. Unfortunately, right now, none of them are seeing you! What we need to do is divert some of those people to your business. Using all the strategies at our disposal, how many do you think we could divert in one month? Is 1% too conservative? How about 3%?
c) Now with that in mind, open the ‘Sales Booster’ sheet on the Return On Investment tool, and complete it as best as possible, based on current figure, and hypothetical future numbers. The spreadsheet will be locked, but you can download it an edit in the following ways:
- >> CSV (comma-separated values) Version
- >> XLS (Microsoft Excel) Version
- >> ODS (Open Document Spreadsheet) Version
Look at the Sales Boost figures at the bottom, and see how much your business could feasibly grow, using the methods available to you.
d) With these figures in mind, what would you expect to invest to get these sorts of results?
e) How much are you currently spending on other forms of marketing – are they as cost effective as these online methods?
f) Optional step: To see how your website is currently performing in the search engines, use this tool to see your ranking for various keywords. Some Google ranking stats to bear in mind are:
- >> Google click stats per rank: 1st place = 35%, 2nd = 15%, 3rd = 11%.
- >> Bounce-rate 50% x conservative 5% website conversion rate = 2.5% website conversion rate.
2) Our Credibility
Our aim is not to sell you a bunch of worthless services to you, and then rubbing our hands with glee with you never hearing from us again. Our goal is to help you make more money from our services program than you’re spending on them. Otherwise we’re losing you money and you won’t keep us on. So it’s in our best interest to monitor and track the results of our work. So we rely on your end to give us feedback on sales, etc.
Scott has been in the business of Internet marketing for years, and what he doesn’t know about it, isn’t worth knowing. We stand by our work and what we say. Take a look at our portfolio.
3) Our Terms
We ask that you let us take the reigns wholly, when it comes to your marketing. It is our expertise that you are paying for, and although some of the things we do may make you uncomfortable, we ask that you have faith in us, that the techniques we use are tested and proven.
We make no guarantees of success. Marketing is a speculative process, and an investment like any other. It involves trying things out to see what works for your market, until we find what works, and then we keep doing the same thing.
We can do everything but force your customers to put their hands in their pockets to buy your products and services. Marketing is the art of persuasion, to find your potential customers’ hot buttons.
However, it is in our interests to make sure you’re making more per month than you’re paying us, and that is our goal, long term. We’re not interested in selling you on a list of services, and then running off. If methods are not working for you, we will recommend they be stopped.
As far as we’re concerned, there’s no point in spending money on a service, if it’s not turning into more money than it’s costing. We are trying to build a reputation of helping to build local businesses, and by doing this, those local businesses will spread the word for us. You win, we win, and your customers win.
We don’t do contracts, as we don’t like to commit people. We prefer a monthly rolling arrangement, also, because we ourselves may eventually determine that the marketing is proving to be simply not cost effective for your product/service – in which case we would recommend we cancel the arrangement.
We take a set-up fee and the first month’s payment first, then we carry-out the first month’s work, then we take the next monthly payment, and undertake that month’s work – and so on. The arrangement can be cancelled at any time, and the work will continue until the end of the cancelled term.
However, we do ask you to commit verbally for at least 12 months. This is not something where you spend money and start making money from month one. It CAN happen, especially if we are improving a website that is already getting traffic, or building a mobile website, or contacting a fairly responsive customer database with an offer for the first time.
But at the beginning, it’s largely an investigative process, finding what works for your product/service, setting things up, waiting for search engine results to filter to the top, building the database, building the Facebook following, finding partners, tracking what advertising sources are working, and what are not.
We need to get it so the marketing is like a tap – you turn it on, and customers come in and spend money; you turn it off, and customers stop coming in.
That’s why we prefer to look at it as a 12 month commitment, where over the 12 month period, after a few failures, and trial and error, we will have the winning formula. We can then look at money spent over the 12 month period, versus money made. This is quite simply the best way to look at things.
4) Return On Investment Potential
When you know the prices of our services, go back and open the ‘Sales Booster’ sheet on the Return On Investment tool. Enter the fees in the appropriate box, to see the overall profit now. Look at the overall profit over a 12 month period.
Another reason we like to look at things over a 12 month period, is that different markets have busy seasons and quiet seasons. Also, there can be other factors like Google having an algorithm update, which can often see a re-shuffle in the search engine index. A 12 month outlook factors all this in.
5) Our Offer
Based on any meetings and discussions, and after confirmation from you that we understand your needs, we will choose the best programme for you.
